English to Polish Translation

An English to Polish translation is notoriously difficult to get right, even for professionals. One of the main challenges is pronunciation. Although both English and Polish use the Roman alphabet, the sound of the letters when spoken is drastically different due to a different vowel system. While English has 24 consonant phonemes, the Polish language has 29. This makes translating English to Polish hard to come by.

As Polish is a Slavic language, many of the Slavic grammar rules are also used. Therefore, things become even harder for English to Polish translators and this introduces several differences in grammar. For starters, there are three genders in Polish, which are masculine, feminine, and neutral. In contrast, the English language uses just one. There are also no articles before nouns, which can make writing seem disjointed to the English speaker.
Noun endings also change in Polish depending on how the noun is used in a sentence. The grammatic case is directly related to the position of the noun in the sentence. This means a single word in Polish can take on multiple forms depending on its use. Hence, only a great Polish translation company understands these nuances well enough to offer professional Polish translation services every time.

Areas of Expertise

The 1989 Polish Revolution that ended years of communist rule ushered in tremendous market opportunities in Poland. Companies worldwide are still scrambling to capture market share in this newly booming economy. Unfortunately, not everyone in Poland had the opportunity to study English, as it was more common to learn German and Russian due to the geographic proximity. Therefore, your marketing content needs to be translated to Polish for full comprehension by your partners, clients and customers in Poland.

At Renaissance Translations, Polish translation services are what we do best. Our language experts can offer translating English to Polish as well as many other language pairs. Each time you’re promised quality, accuracy, and professionalism. Our Polish translators work across a broad range of business and sector areas.
But we offer more than that! We have a diverse team of Polish translators with different backgrounds and skillsets. This means we can perfect your content and connect with your audience, no matter which industry you’re in. From the translation of travel documents to legal contracts, there is little we can’t do. Polish Translation Tips & Insights

Professional Polish translation services are in high demand, but the combination of the Roman alphabet with Slavic grammar rules makes it complicated. For a successful translation, use these top tips as advised by our experts. Trust our Polish translation company for the best results.

Learn Polish Grammatical Cases

The case of a word helps to determine its meaning. In English, there are three cases. But in Polish, there are seven! These are nominative (subject), accusative (object), dative (indirect object), genitive (possessive), instrumental (interrogative words), locative (doesn’t exist on its own), and vocative (first names, job titles, etc.). Learn to identify each of these cases in every sentence and how the words change form for each different case.

Understand Your Audience

Before you start translating any English to Polish project, you need to define your audience. High-quality Polish translation services will use your audience as a guide for their translation. They will choose between formal and informal speech, and also use the right gender version of “you” to best connect with your audience. Basically, using the wrong gendered terms and formality can mean your message gets lost and produce content that doesn’t engage.
