At Renaissance Translations, we’re committed to providing professional, accurate and high quality translation services. Therefore, we adhere to a strict quality control process to ensure that the final product reads as if it was originally written in the target language.
Our goals are to understand client requirements, apply those requirements consistently and ensure the translated content conveys the same message as the original provided content. As we translate, we strive to render the meaning as faithfully as possible, whilst bearing in mind that all translations should be grammatically and syntactically correct. We always strive to implement the quality control measures necessary to ensure that every step in the translation process is performed to the highest quality standard possible.
We consistently implement a strict procedure to ensure the final product meets, or exceeds, our clients’ expectations. Our translation quality approach is based on measurable and proven methodologies.
We adhere to the following steps while the project is being carried out:
- Prepare Source Text & Select Translators
Upon project launch, our project manager prepares the source text for translation. The most qualified linguists are identified and then vetted against the requirements for the specific project. The project manager may select a single translator or a team, depending on the size and complexity of the project.
- Edit and Proofread
Every translation is checked and revised against the original by a second professional translator to confirm that proper terminology has been used consistently throughout the entire project. Of course, this is the stage when typos and any inconsistent layout issues are also remedied.
- Review Deliverable
Finally, the assigned project manager applies a final quality assurance check to ensure the translation is error-free and that our clients’ requirements are met in full.
We also believe that translation quality is not all about words; the organisation and layout also matter. As we translate, we include all the tables, headers, footers, graphs and punctuation from the source text. You will have a 100% identical target text in terms of content arrangement. We always strive to produce a target document that complies consistently with the original.
Our use of professional Terminology Management (TM) tools helps maintain language consistency across projects and groups of translators. TM technology prevents discrepancies from occurring during a translation project. After the translation process is complete, our QA specialists will thoroughly double-check every project before delivering it to the client.
TM tools also help us to create industry-specific glossaries. We strongly believe in creating processes that help us maintain up-to-date resources for each industry. Every industry relies on unique terminology and nomenclature that is ever-changing and critical to conducting everyday activities.
